'Paintings from photos'.
My most recent body of work; inspired by beautiful local scenery from fishing villages to my favourite sandy beaches, near my home town of Llanon on the West Coast of Wales. Having spent 30 years nursing and bringing up a family, i have at last been able to try my hand at painting, hoping that I might have been tarred with a bit of the same paint brush as my grandparents Frank and Teresa Copnall, who were well known artists in Liverpool in the early 1900's. Frank painted over 800 portraits and Teresa was known for her flower paintings, many of which were exhibited at the Royal Academy.
