I'm 29 years old from Nottingham.I started with watercolours when I was at secondry school and enjoyed it.I've always been good at drawing and wanted to try something new,so painting it was.I then moved onto acylic about 8 years ago and within the past 5 years I've moved onto oils.I've had a huge interest in the old master ever since I was at school, especially the large portraits you find in country houses. One day I bought a book on Anthony Van Dyke and copied a picture out of it with huge success.I wanted more and more challenges,so I got into the techniques and Authentic colours that were used at the time. Now I think I've got the technique just right. One of my favourite painters is Sir Peter Lely.
I've also been asked to do dog portraits. These have been a favourite of mine,as I do like animals. Now I want to try my hand at doing other animal portraits as well.
I'm also into history and landscapes,so I like to paint landscapes usually with some kind of historical subject incorperated into it.
Other subject matters I've painted is cars.I love classic and American cars,so I've tried my hand at that.I was once comissioned to do a nude portrait of a female friend. She liked it so much she gave me extra money for it.I also designed an advert for Insurance age magazine, which was later used as an ad for a business Expo event.
I have a website under construction.
