"I am inspired by my beautiful surroundings and by myth, legend and history and enjoy creating experimental art using a variety of media. I love rich textures, colour and metallic elements but am just as at home with subtle shades and materials."

I am a self employed ,self representing artist and am currently "Artist in residence" for The Tullibody Artshop,Clackmannanshire ,in a pilot project aiming to inspire creative behaviour within the community. It also provides space to develop my own work and to collaborate with other artists. Exhibitions in past months include `winter works` at Aberdona Gallery,Frame works art sale,Adam House,Chambers St,Edinburgh,The Helen Keller International award exhibition,Royal Concert Hall,Glasgow,a variety of exhibitions with central arts and the Booby birds exhibition in Glasgows Kelvingrove museum and Art Gallery. My work entitled "Raindrops on a summer garden"(listed below) recently won a national art award. I have an interest in digital imaging, animation and photography,as well as more traditional crafts such as leather/glass/metal painting, metal embossing, mosaic and stained glass.Illustration and painting are my first loves but I am also a keen writer with poetry published Internationally.
