Child abuse theme- this was my a level fine art final piece. my sister, irina was my model and i created a portrait of her in tone. (no child was hurt on the making of this) :)

I'm Nair Lopes Martins, I'm from Portugal but living in England right now, in Great Yarmouth, small town 2 hours away from london :).
I'm 18 years old and since I was 4 I used to draw everywhere and anywhere: from the walls of my bedroom to the tables in school, I still feel like those 'crazy' artists who just love to draw!
I'm at East Norfolk Sixth Form College currently studying Fine Art A Level, Graphics Communication & Communication & Culture, and truly enjoying it. My favourite type of Art is Illustration; I love detailed, realistic artwork, just enjoying working with tone and creating exactly what I see into paper, it amazes me.
In addition to Ilustration, since 2008/09 I have been watching the TV shows Miami Ink & LA Ink. Both these shows show stories of the clients who want a tattoo and why. It amazes me communicating with someone, get their ideas and then transfer it into paper and then into their bodies. Therefore,I started to design a few tattoo designs for some girls I have know. I have currently 2 extra girly designs on two of my friends' body- one in her foot while the othe chick on her stomach and ribs, SUPER!!!
Now applying for university I definitely want to do a degree in Illustration. I wuld like to work for someone such as a writer or a company and simply illustrate, illustrate and illustrate :D! Despite mother's wishes for me to become an Art teacher,I personally feel I can be good enough with time to go out there and show off my Art work.
