Ego Sum Lux Mundi

Ego Sum Lux Mundi

About this Artwork

With this painting I wanted to create a Messiah figure.

The painting is built of symbolic and symmetrical forms, inspired by religious art, and mathematical perfection.

The figure forms the shape of the crucifixion to represent his role as the light of the world and the saviour of man.

However, the figure is uniformed, branded, brainwashed and distinctly Aryan.  He represents power; the power of genetic science, political control, and mind manipulation, all disguised as the almighty power of God.

The figure is a sponsor for creation; the new scientific and technological abilities of man to imitate God and create a dark new kind of religion.
