The Solipsist

The Solipsist

This is a surrealist piece. the framework for the imagery resulted from an automatist study of tearing up pieces of paper that contained arbitrary images. i stuck these pieces of paper in a spontaneous manner. i then painted what i had stuck down, accentuating the tones and colour. the image represents subjectivity in our immediate perceptive experience. i would appreciate feedback.

Morgan Freeman Portrait

This is simply a portrait of morgan freeman using acrylic paint. in hindsight, i would have used oil paint. feedback would be appreciated.

Abstract Figures

Abstract Figures

This is a surreal subjective representation of human figures, where i tried to accentuate the tones to create bold and aesthetically alluring imagery. however i only had two whole days to paint due to exam constraints. preferably i would have liked much longer to refine the tones. still a work in progress, for instance the canvas needs dividing in two.  i would appreciate some feedback.

Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision.
