New Horizon

100 x 100 x 8cm (deepest point) acrylic (terracota dappled) on canvas and synthetic sculptured forms, inset of yellow and salmon acrylic p&p uk - included in price, europe - additional 50 pounds sterling, usa - additional 58 pounds sterling new horizon is an interpretation of the movement of seasons from summer to autumn. with the transverse of the summer sun at its height, falling to its autumnal low. the varying shades of terracota in the background represent the warm summer evening whilst at the same time displaying the change in the flora and fauna in the mid autumn. the dappling of the colouring is my interpretation of the haze of the sun and the misty atmosphere of the autumn. although the new horizons of the seasons blend together, as with the seasons of britain, the constant in this is the disc representing the sun. travelling with us throughout the year.

Ian Collington

I have been experimenting and developing my art forms for the last 30 years as part of my time at college and as a hobby in my spare time. Yep an ordinary guy from an average town in the centre of England but always yearning to discover myself, my views and philosophies throughout life.

The focus of my artwork over the last few years has been, how simple and obvious life and interactions of the individual in society is. How we are all units but within the mass of society as a whole.

Like pieces of art all different with unique qualities and beutiful but not faultless. I have always seen art all around me and who is to say or define 'what' art is.

My creations are all individual one offs with certificates of authenticity. I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU AND HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR ARTWORK.
