About this Artwork

The Chuka tribe in Kenya are very well known for their drumming. I once was intoxicated by their playing and dancing, an art form which is very rare today.

The wood has been dyed and the coloured patterns are achieved by delicate grazing

The pieces are ready wall mountable and can stand against a wall

c.50cm by 25cm

The piece is made out of Mukui (Kenyan hard wood) and has been treated.
