I would appreciate any feedback from alltradeart artists who may have, like me, received a large number of international enquiries from publications houses, art agencies and galleries - the general vibe is an interest in your work - then further down there are aspects of costs etc which rings some alarm bells.
It seems to me a bit suspicious to me and I wondered if it is a blanket email to all artists on this site, or if it is a genuine enquiry. Has anyone followed up any emails - and if so - what happened????

Hi michelle, there are loads of emails which sound very alluring coming in.not just to this site but a lot of them.latest is from world art media,claiming to want to promote your work,at a high cost,but they earn nothing from sales and therefor have no incentive to sell it.they make their money from artists,not sales.another was from a company wishing to display my work on billboards in london.i heard from an artist whos work was damaged when the billboard toppled over!that is only a selection of many who have approached me over the past few weeks.i would usually advise that you not only check out their websites but also google search blogs on the subject,they are usually very helpful.. Hi bobbi - yeah that crowd world arts media have plagued me for a while too and many others that immediately ring alarm bells and you just delete- this recent stuff however is more gallery based - the gallery is question is well shown online but again you wonder.... however they have taken trouble since to phone me and are not looking for any money...(so far).. still we'll see - on the good news front - a few real scottish venues and an irish gallery have made genuine contact and i am now showing new work with them them as well as planning a solo show... its all go.... anyway ta for info = blogs are helpful - .
