Why did men stop wearing hats? Was wearing hats just a fashion choice? Were they practical? Or just a compulsory accesory, like the tie?
I asked some guys to tell me what they think about hats, and, my conclusion is as follows: the subject is very complex, there are pros and against concerning the subject, it's a very controversial accessory, and YES, hats are cool. But they stand out, and that is what puts men off wearing them. Hm, i guess their argument is weak, there must be more to that than the desire to pass unnoticed. Maybe when all Don Draper's followers will start donning hats, and the ones without will stand out, we might find out the truth.
