Juan Manuel Fangio At The Wheel Of His Ferrari 1956 Juan Manuel Fangio at the Wheel of his Ferrari 1956

Fangio, at the Italian Grand, held at Monza, on 2nd September 1956, one of the truly great races in Formula 1 history was fought out between Stirling Moss, of England, and his, friend, mentor and arch rival, Juan Manuel Fangio. At the previous Grand Prix in Germany Fangio took the chequed flag 43 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Moss.

Fangio, at this time, was heralded as the greatest driver of all time, and, to some today, they still believe that he is today! When the Italian Grand Prix arrived and Fangio took pole position, nobody could have expected the epic battle that was to take place.

To everybody's amazement it was Moss who took the lead early on in his Maserati 250F with the two Lancia Ferrari's driven by Collins and Fangio wrestling each other and Moss for the lead for practically the whole race of close quarter jostling for the lead. This pencil drawing shows the racing legend that is Juan Manuel Fangio driving his Ferrari to its absolute limits in an attempt to take the chequed flag. Evidence of this epic race can clearly be seen with the stone peppered front of his car. It was Sterling Moss who won the race just 5.7 seconds ahead of Fangio and Collins!

This pencil drawing represents a piece of F1 motor racing history!

This is an A3 print of the detailed pencil drawing of this classic machine...and would look fabulous on the office wall or at home if you're allowed to put it there! I have limited the amount of prints that I am selling to 50 and there are not many left now! The original drawing is available at a reasonable cost; email me for details..Or I can do a bespoke drawing of you own machine if you'd prefer...it costs less than you'd think!!
