Dogmen Descending

Dogmen Descending

This was originally a study that was made for the buildings that appear in the painting entitled 'cucullus non facit monachum'.in this version i decided to incorporate some different characters, which are based on accounts of dog headed beings thought to exist in medieval europe.

Untitled Sculpture

Untitled Sculpture

This is a life size sculpture of a kneeling figure that was supposed to be in bronze but i don't have bronze casting capabillity so i made it in resin then treated it with a bronze and lead coating to get the finish. i don't know who it is but it is influenced by egyptian iconography. i was trying to get a fusion of very ancient and very modern elements, so that it becomes timeless.some people think the face is a lion, but it is actually based on a camel.although having said that i was trying not to have it be too recognisable as any specific animal.the sculpture is slightly different now, because i decided to remove the cage-like structure on the arm, but i don't have any recent photos of it.it might be available for exhibition or sale. drop me a line if you have any questions.

5/4 chromatic extravanza

5/4 Chromatic Extravanza

This was originally a lino cut single colour block print.i chose an abstract expressionist style of the sort popular in america in the 1950's, because this is essentially a bebop band, and the bebop bands used to use that style on their album covers.this may or may not be available as a lino block print, but will be available as a digital print at least if you really want one......
